At a pivotal moment, Ivey Ranch Park Association turned to SVP for guidance in planning its future. The well-established nonprofit serves 275 clients each week, yet demand continues to grow, with a six-month waitlist for its services—especially in its equestrian program. Additionally, the organization recognized the potential to double its onsite care services but lacked a current strategic plan to guide expansion or a communications strategy to support fundraising efforts.

To help address these challenges, SVP’s consulting team—Trish Watlington (Lead), Susanne Chakravarty, and Scott Tritt—focused on two critical areas: Strategic Planning and Communications & Messaging. Through this engagement, Ivey Ranch now has a comprehensive five-year strategic plan, outlining clear long-term goals, strategies, and an implementation roadmap.

To ensure the nonprofit’s messaging aligns with this new direction, the SVP team also developed key communications tools, including a story of strategy and a “Pitch Page”, helping Ivey Ranch effectively share its mission and funding needs with stakeholders.

The results were immediate and impactful. With SVP’s support in refining its messaging for fundraising, Ivey Ranch successfully met its 2024 goal of securing full sponsorship for all of its barn’s horses. While the organization initially sought assistance in developing a fund development strategy, the strategic planning process proved so robust and time-intensive that it was decided to revisit this component in a follow-on SVP engagement in early 2025.

"Our SVP Team turned the Strategic Plan process, which had put our Board at odds with one another, into a deliverable product that both Board and Staff were happy to adopt and get to work on. Today I read a published article that featured us as the Non-Profit of the Month. I assisted with the content for the article only five weeks ago, and we have already achieved one of our four goals listed for next year!" - Tonya Danielly, Executive Director

As Ivey Ranch Park Association prepares for its next phase of growth, SVP’s continued support will help ensure the organization has the resources and strategies needed to serve even more members of the community.
