EVE BENTON
Eve Benton is an experienced entrepreneur who has successfully founded and managed for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Her strengths lie in leading and motivating management teams, analyzing business issues, and instituting change. She is the President and Founder of Benton Advisory Services where she provides a wide array of consulting services to CEOs including strategic planning, organizational growth and change management, business plan development, among others.
In 1999 Benton founded Vehicles for Change, a nonprofit that awards cars to working poor families in Maryland. The nonprofit has awarded over 8,000 cars to families in its 25-year history and recently expanded to San Diego to provide auto mechanic job training to previously incarcerated individuals.
Benton brings deep board and committee experience to SVP. She is active on several local nonprofit boards including Moores Cancer Center at UCSD, San Diego Blood Bank, San Diego Humane Society, Salk Institute, and Sanford Burnham Institute.
Benton graduated with a BA in Economics from Smith College and an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
Benton relocated from Washington, D.C. to San Diego in 2011. In her spare time, Benton exercises every day, collects glass sculptures, and practices her golf game.
