SUSANNE CHAKRAVARTY

Susanne is an independent business consultant and strategy expert working in the healthcare industry. She has extensive experience supporting CEOs, executive teams, and product development groups to develop their long-term business strategies and new product portfolios with a focus on diagnostics, pharma, medical device, and life science companies. She facilitates leadership strategy sessions, helps teams define their strategic goals, analyzes market opportunities, designs organizations, develops business plans, and tracks performance. Prior to being an independent consultant, Susanne worked in strategic management positions both as a consultant and in industry roles in Europe and the United States, including at The Boston Consulting Group, Ventana Medical Systems, and Roche.

In 2015, Susanne founded and led the philanthropic student/parent program “Heights Cares” at Del Mar Heights School, which aims to inspire children to become passionate lifelong learners and responsible world citizens. Susanne, school leadership, and other parents developed the program, identified and evaluated partner organizations, and created fundraising and volunteering opportunities for students.

Susanne was raised in a small village in Western Germany. After high school, she studied Political Sciences at the Freie Universität Berlin and the Institute d’Etudes Politiques in Paris. She holds a master’s degree in Political Sciences from the Freie Universität Berlin. Susanne speaks English, German and French.

Susanne lives with her husband and two daughters, Hannah (20) and Ella (18) in North County. In her free time, she plays tennis and pickleball, travel, hikes, and spends time with her family.
